Your email address (to sign you in), your postcode (to work out your constituency), and a timestamped record of which bills you've said you support or oppose. Changing your mind on a bill adds a new record rather than erasing the old one, so there's an honest history of what was said and when. Optionally, you can also say which of a bill's pre-written pros/cons line up with your vote — this is always a pick from a fixed list, never something you type yourself; we don't collect free-text comments from anyone, on purpose. Nothing else about you is collected.
Your postcode, vote responses, and any pros/cons you select are what UK data protection law calls special-category data, because a recorded political opinion is involved. We only use it for one purpose: compiling anonymised, aggregated summaries of constituent sentiment (and the reasons behind it) to send to the relevant MP's official parliamentary office. You always see this consent request explicitly before it applies — it's never bundled into "agree to terms."
Nobody outside this project sees your individual votes or your identity. MPs only ever receive aggregate counts and participation rates for their constituency as a whole — never a named list of who voted which way. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
For as long as your account exists. Deleting your account (from the account page) permanently removes your postcode, your email, and every vote tied to it.
You can see what's recorded, correct your postcode, withdraw consent, or delete your account entirely at any time from the account page — no need to ask anyone first.
